Drs. Kathy and Nathan Maxwell Complete Doctoral Degree Program
Congratulations, Dr. Kathy Maxwell and Dr. Nathan Maxwell!
Both are receiving the Ph.D. in Religion from Baylor University. The Commencement ceremony will be held at Baylor University's Ferrell Center on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
Dr. Kathy Maxwell specializes in New Testament while Dr. Nathan Maxwell specializes in Old Testament.
Her dissertation is entitled Hearing between the Lines: The Audience as Fellow-Worker in Luke-Acts and its Literary Milieu. His dissertation is entitled Psalmist in the Psalm: A Persona-Critical Reading of Book IV of the Psalter. Both dissertations will be available in the SCS library in the near future.
To our knowledge this is the first husband and wife to graduate with their Ph.D.'s from Baylor in the same semester. Even more amazing, they defended their dissertations in the same week! We are very proud of them and blessed to have them on our staff and faculty! Be sure to extend your congratulations to them.
