Micro-Education™ Loan Project
Purpose: To allow small donations to be utilized effectively to provide affordable loans to SCS students for tuition.
Objectives
- Make donating simple and non-threatening.
- Allow donors to choose recipients of the loan.
- Allow donors to present the giving of the loan as a gift (i.e. the recipient of the gift gets to choose the student to receive the scholarship and administer the recycling of it).
- Allow the capability of recycling the donation.
- Provide students with interest-free loans.
Processes
- We provide donors access through our website to student profiles so they may choose the recipient of their donation.
- Donations may range from $50 minimum to a dollar amount of the donor’s choice.
- Donors will make their recipient choice and the donation amount online.
- The recipient will be notified of the loan amount.
- The student can pay back the loan by the same means online.
- When the loan is paid back, the donor will be notified and have the option to:
- Choose another recipient for a loan.
- Designate the donation to the general scholarship fund.
