Programs of Study
The Master of Divinity program is offered through Logsdon Seminary. The purpose of the M.Div. is to prepare persons to enter pastoral ministry and other leadership roles in the church and related contexts. As a graduate professional degree, it incorporates classroom-based study in classical theological disciplines with ministry-based study designed to develop competence for the practice of ministry. The degree also prepares students for more advanced study in D.Min. or Ph.D. programs. Students enrolled in the M.Div. program may choose from the following curriculum tracks:
Pastoral Ministry
Spiritual Care Ministry
Educational Ministry
Missions and cross-Cultural Ministry
Family Ministries

A fundamental principle for the School of Christian Studies is to provide financially accessible opportunities for ministry preparation. Toward this end, SCS, Logsdon Seminary, and other institutions supporting religious education offer several grants and scholarships.
All graduate students who wish to receive financial aid should complete the Student General Scholarship application form for graduate students each academic year.

-
BGCT Ministerial Financial Assistance: The Baptist General Convention of Texas provides financial assistance for each Baptist student enrolled in Logsdon Seminary. In the first year of enrollment, all Baptist students who have memberships in a Baptist church are eligible for the scholarship. After the first year, students who receive these funds must be a member of a BGCT affiliated church. Financial assistance currently is $150 per semester hour.
